A 7th generation native Vermonter, Stephanie is sensitive to the needs of those of us in Essex Caledonia House District 1. She knows that the problems and lack of opportunities we face are unique to our little corner of Vermont.
Her 12 years of successful small business ownership has made her acutely aware of the needs and problems facing the self-employed and small business owner. From the lack of telecommunications infrastructure, to the problems of living in a border county where the business climate is considered friendlier across the river, Stephanie has faced these problems herself, and wants to change the way things are done in Montpellier. One of her goals is to make Vermont more business friendly, and to cut the red tape and expense involved in the start up and expansion of Essex County businesses.
As the founder and the fiscal agent for E.C.H.O.o. (Essex County Helping Our Own) in Gilman, Stephanie has been able to bring community services to this area where they did not exist before. She works closely with area agency personnel to keep the resource center manned and running smoothly. Her hard work and good ideas have provided services to area residents that were not available in the county before.
Stephanie also is a member of the Caledonia County Disaster Action Team, a member of the Miles Pond Association Board, and the Chairwoman of the Essex County Democratic Committee. She has also served as the the Director of the Concord Booster Club.
In addition to being a candidate for Essex Caledonia House District 1, Stephanie currently serves as the clerk for the Concord Select Board, where she has attracted the attention and accolades of numerous state officers and employees.
Her experience and background uniquely qualify her for a position in the House of Representatives, where she will work hard to solve the problems facing the people of Essex and Caledonia Counties and be a voice representing the interests of all.
