Note: Always use the LEFT mouse button to CLICK unless otherwise stated.
These steps are for the most common home situations. If you have special telephone
system properties, you may need a slight adjustment to these instructions.
Double-click on MY COMPUTER icon.
Double-click on DIAL-UP NETWORKING folder.
Double-click on MAKE NEW CONNECTION icon.
Type Kingdom Connection or Kingcon in box for A NAME FOR THE COMPUTER YOU ARE DIALING.
Click on NEXT.
Type in 7 digit Access Number provided by The Kingdom Connection in the box for TELEPHONE NUMBER.
(Add *70, in front of number if you have Call Waiting.)
Click on NEXT.
Click on FINISH.
Right-click on the new Kingdom Connection (or Kingcon) icon.
Click on PROPERTIES at the bottom of the menu that appeared.
Uncheck the box for USE AREA CODE AND DIALING PROPERTIES.
Click on the CONFIGURE button.
Click on the CONNECTION tab.
The option CANCEL THE CALL IF NOT CONNECTED WITHIN must be checked and the number 60 changed
to 180.
Click on OK.
Click on SERVER TYPES tab.
Uncheck LOG ON TO NETWORK.
Uncheck NetBEUI.
Uncheck IPX/SPX COMPATIBLE.
Make sure TCP/IP is checked.
Click on TCP/IP SETTINGS button.
Make sure SERVER ASSIGNED IP ADDRESS and SERVER ASSIGNED NAME SERVER ADDRESSES are dotted.
Make sure that BOTH boxes at the bottom of this window have checks in them.
Click on OK.
Click on OK again.
Right-click on the Kingdom Connection (or Kingcon) icon.
Click on CREATE SHORTCUT.
Click on YES (in Shortcut pop-up box).
Close DIAL-UP NETWORKING window.
Close MY COMPUTER window.
Double-click on the Kingdom Connection (or Kingcon) icon on your desktop.
Make sure the USER NAME is your PRIMARY E-MAIL ADDRESS. Type in your PRIMARY E-MAIL ADDRESS
if the USER NAME is not correct.
Type in your password in PASSWORD box.
Check the SAVE PASSWORD box.
Click on the CONNECT button and you will be connected!
